1. Scope
This policy applies to the webpages, temporary email inboxes, email forwarding aliases, account dashboard, and support communications provided by tempcat.com. How third-party websites handle temporary addresses or aliases you submit to them is outside this policy.
2. Information We Process
Temporary Email Data
When you create a temporary inbox, the service generates an address, access credentials, and creation and expiration times. To receive and display messages, we process the sender, recipient, subject, body, receipt time, and delivery status. Temporary inboxes do not retain attachments.
Forwarding Accounts and Aliases
Signing in with a verification code requires us to process your destination email address, sign-in status, and security settings. The dashboard stores the alias prefixes you create, their enabled or disabled status, forwarding statistics, message archives from the last 30 days, and attachment retention status. When two-factor authentication is enabled, we process the security key and status needed to complete verification.
Technical and Security Logs
To prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect the service, we may process network addresses, request times, browser types, error information, rate-limit results, and security events. We do not require you to provide your name or phone number to use a temporary inbox.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Provide address creation, message receipt, forwarding, archiving, and account security features;
- Verify sign-in requests and apply the alias settings you choose;
- Detect spam, fraud, automated abuse, and attacks;
- Troubleshoot message delivery, attachment handling, and service availability;
- Comply with applicable legal requirements and respond to lawful requests.
4. Retention Periods
A temporary inbox is available for 3 hours by default, with a maximum lifetime of 24 hours. Access ends when it expires or is destroyed manually. Forwarded message archives are retained for 30 days and then deleted according to system policy. Sign-in and security logs are retained for a limited period as needed for security, auditing, and legal purposes.
5. Attachments and Content Limits
Temporary inboxes do not retain attachments, and messages larger than 100 MB in total are rejected. When a message received by a forwarding alias is ≤50 MB in total, it is forwarded with its attachments retained; messages from 50–100 MB are forwarded without attachments being retained on the site; messages over 100 MB are rejected. Do not use the service to handle banking, medical, identity-document, or other highly sensitive information.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We share limited information only when necessary to provide infrastructure, message delivery, security protection, respond as required by law, or protect users and the service. Service providers may process data only for the agreed purposes. We do not sell message content or build advertising profiles from message bodies.
7. Security Measures
We use measures such as access controls, token authentication, transmission protection, rate limiting, and security monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your inbox credentials, personal email account, and two-factor authentication device, and avoid sharing verification codes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can destroy your current temporary inbox, delete or disable forwarding aliases, delete archived messages, sign out, and submit access, correction, or deletion requests through our support email. We may need to verify that the requester controls the relevant account, and may retain necessary records for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.
9. Children's Privacy
This service is not specifically designed for children who do not have the legal capacity to consent in their location. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
10. International Processing and Policy Changes
The service infrastructure may be located outside your region. We will apply appropriate safeguards. If this policy changes materially, we will update the date on this page; please review the latest version before continuing to use the service.
