How it works
A long-term address doesn't mean exposing your primary email
Disable it when something looks wrong
If an alias starts receiving unrelated messages, you can turn it off on its own. Messages sent to a disabled alias are discarded.

Review forwarding status and senders from the last 30 days to distinguish delivery failures, spam filtering, and attachment limits.
When not to use a forwarding alias
Temporary downloads and one-time codes are better suited to a three-hour inbox. For banking, medical, and legal communications, use an email account you fully control with a reliable recovery method.
