Usage Rules

Terms of Service

These terms define your rights and responsibilities, and those of Tempcat, regarding temporary inboxes, email forwarding aliases, and related dashboards.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tempcat, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms. If you disagree, stop using the service.

2. Service Description

Tempcat provides short-term inboxes without registration, plus email forwarding aliases managed after sign-in. Temporary emails are valid for 3 hours by default, with a maximum lifetime of 24 hours. Forwarding accounts can create up to 100 aliases and include 30 days of email archiving. Features and limits may change for security or operational reasons.

3. Lawful and Appropriate Use

You may use the service only lawfully and are responsible for activity conducted through addresses under your control. Appropriate uses include low-risk sign-ups, software testing, subscription separation, and protecting your primary inbox.

Prohibited Conduct

  • Sending spam, phishing content, malware, or fraudulent messages;
  • Impersonating others, evading platform bans, or infringing intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Probing, attacking, or disrupting the service; bypassing rate limits; or creating resources in bulk automatically;
  • Using the service to receive or distribute illegal, exploitative, or clearly harmful content;
  • Reselling access or claiming that Tempcat provides a complete, permanent, or absolutely anonymous email service.

4. Accounts and Security

The forwarding dashboard uses email verification codes for sign-in. You must protect your real email address, verification codes, login tokens, and authenticator devices, and promptly sign out of untrusted devices. You are responsible for activity resulting from disclosed credentials. Contact us immediately if you discover unauthorized access.

5. Email and Attachments

You are responsible for the lawfulness of received content and how you use it afterward. Temporary emails do not retain attachments, and entire messages over 100MB are rejected. Messages to forwarding aliases up to 50MB are forwarded and retained; messages from 50–100MB are forwarded without retaining attachments on the site; messages over 100MB are rejected. Sender restrictions, network queues, and spam filtering may all affect delivery.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain the rights to your content and grant us a limited license to process it only as necessary to transmit, display, protect, and troubleshoot the service. Tempcat’s brand, interface, code, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws; these terms do not transfer any of those rights.

7. Availability and Changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it reliable, but do not guarantee email delivery, acceptance of an address by third parties, uninterrupted service, or permanent data recovery. Maintenance, security incidents, sender policies, or network issues beyond our control may cause delays or loss.

Do not use temporary email for account recovery, financial, medical, legal, or other critical communications that cannot be replaced. Choose a long-term email service with reliable identity verification, backup, and recovery mechanisms for these purposes.

8. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the service, destroy temporary inboxes, delete aliases, or sign out of your account. If there is unlawful activity, abuse, a security risk, unusual resource consumption, or a violation of these terms, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate access and, where appropriate, preserve necessary evidence.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including undelivered email, unrecoverable accounts, data loss, or third-party rejection of an address. Liability that cannot legally be excluded is not limited by this section.

10. Indemnification

If your unlawful use, content, or violation of these terms leads to a third-party claim, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to accept the resulting responsibility and cooperate with reasonable handling of the claim.

11. Changes, Severability, and Entire Agreement

We may update these terms and change the effective date. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement concerning the service.

12. Contact

For terms, abuse, or copyright issues, email support@tempcat.com and include the address and time needed to identify the incident; do not include verification codes or passwords.
